What are Neurotoxin Injections?
The most well-known neurotoxin injections in the cosmetic field include Botox, Dysport, Daxxify, and Xeomin. These injections work by blocking the release of acetylcholine, a chemical messenger, which inhibits muscle contractions. As a result, neurotoxin injections can effectively reduce the appearance of wrinkles, treat various medical conditions, and provide cosmetic enhancements.

Botox and Dysport are both neurotoxin injections used to reduce wrinkles, but they differ in a few key ways. Firstly, Dysport spreads more than Botox, making it suitable for treating larger areas. Secondly, Dysport tends to have a faster onset of action compared to Botox. Lastly, the units used to measure Dysport and Botox are not directly interchangeable, so the dosage may vary between the two.

DAXXIFY® may last up to twice as long as conventional frown line treatments for some. Conventional frown line treatments last 3-4 months. At least 50% of patients in clinical studies had no or minor frown lines 6 months after treatment with DAXXIFY®. In other safety studies, between 5% and 17% of patients still had noticeable improvement 9 months later.

While Botox contains accessory proteins, Xeomin® is a purer form of botulinum toxin. Xeomin® starts working immediately. However, it takes a little while for all of the neurotoxic proteins to settle into some of the motor receptors in the treatment area and reduce muscle contractions. Most people don't see their ideal results until three to four days after treatment.

Botox

Results develop within 4-7 days. Botox is a popular cosmetic treatment that uses a purified form of botulinum toxin to temporarily relax specific facial muscles. It reduces the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. The effects typically last for several months before requiring another treatment.
Dysport
Dysport is abobotulinumtoxinA
Results develop within 2-3 days. Compared with Botox, Dysport is less concentrated and has smaller molecules, so Dysport spreads slightly more from the injection site. This can be very helpful and even preferred in some anatomical areas, but worrisome in other areas. This is why we have consultations.
Daxxify
Daxxify: daxibotulinumtoxinA
